A few days ago, I saw a news report about Stanley Ho, who has been taking $100,000 worth of injections daily to prolong his life since a fall. Stanley Ho has spent hundreds of millions on "extending his life"! We often say: "More wealth, more diseases !" This is absolutely true; the richer a person, the more ailments they have. A former client, now deceased, also took medication to prolong his life. These days, we seem to have mistaken "medicine" for "life-extending elixir." I often wonder: Why do we live? Why are so many people so afraid of death, yet their lives seem to lack value and meaning? If a person lives solely to eat, drink, and spend money, does it really matter if they die early or later? If someone lives like Warren Buffett, whose sole purpose is to make money, what value and meaning does such a life have? Qin Shi Huang devoted his life to finding the elixir of life, but he still died young! Many people strive for immortality, but can they truly achieve it? Just like Stanley Ho, who prolongs his life for decades, he still has to die in the end! What is "death" really? Is death scary?
Many religions interpret death as a rest from the toil and burdens of this world! This world is essentially a cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death! Is death scary? Whether death is scary or not depends on where we go after death. If we go to heaven, we all hope to die soon! But if we go to hell and the lake of fire, then of course that's terrifying! This is probably why wealthy people spend so much money to prolong their lives! They fear going to hell and the lake of fire after death! (Luke 16:24) And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. ~ Why is it that modern people find it as easy to do evil as to drink plain water? Because modern people believe: Death is like the extinguishing of a light! I want to ask everyone: If death is really like the extinguishing of a light, why are so many wealthy people afraid of death? If death is really like the extinguishing of a light, why does Stanley Ho spend money to prolong his life? If death is really like the extinguishing of a light, why do wealthy people seek the elixir of immortality? Saying that death is like the extinguishing of a light is a self-deceiving lie! If someone truly believes that death is like the extinguishing of a light, they will not be afraid of death at all! However, those who fear death do not know where they will go after death. They are even more afraid of being "judged" after death! Humans are very contradictory animals! People clearly know that there are two places after death: heaven and hell, but they always like to deceive themselves: death is like the extinguishing of a light! We clearly know that the soul is immortal, so how could death be like the extinguishing of a light? We clearly know that evil spirits exist in this world, so how could death be like the extinguishing of a light?
Not many people know about heaven, and few have even seen it. But evil spirits and ghosts are indeed everywhere. I've cast out many demons, and I know that demon possession is a real and tangible reality. Every time I exorcise a demon, and the demon leaves the person, there's an immediate and noticeable difference in the person possessed! Therefore, those who haven't exorcised a demon don't understand the pain of being possessed! This world constantly tells us that science is atheism! Science doesn't believe in ghosts or gods! I've always emphasized that science follows God's laws of creation! Humans absolutely cannot "create science"! Believing in science is atheism, and those who believe in science are fools! If science can change the laws of nature, then it has the right to eliminate the Creator! If science must obey the laws of nature, then it is simply a tool used by the Creator! Our world is filled with so many lies, and everyone is deceived and driven by them! Let me tell you a simple principle: If science can make the sun rise in the west, then science can control the world! If science simply follows the sun, if science must follow gravity, if science cannot escape centrifugal force, then "science" is simply following "natural laws." Who created "natural laws"? Of course, the Creator created natural laws!
I just want to tell those wealthy people that spending money to extend their lives and won't escape death! We will all face death one day, and "death" is not scary at all! Going to hell after death is indeed terrifying. Why do some people go to heaven after death, while others go to hell? Going to heaven or hell isn't determined at birth! God gives each of us the same opportunity. From the moment we're born, we can choose whether to go to heaven or hell in the future! God is a very fair Creator! We are all born exactly the same—we're born with the same body! We die the same way—we're just a pile of bones after death! So, birth and death are the same, so what truly makes us different? The real difference between people lies in the results of our lives! What are we doing in this life? What truly influences our afterlife is what we do in this life. Doing evil or doing good is a choice we make, and each of us will pay the price for our choices! Life is but a little over 30,000 days. Some live longer, some shorter. When we stop and think, is it worth it to satisfy our momentary desires by doing evil? While we still have breath, do more good! Taking medicine to prolong our lives is a living hell! Let's use our limited time and energy to accumulate treasures in heaven for our path to eternal life! If we don't have treasure in heaven, we will surely go to hell! The treasures in heaven are the only sure guarantee that we can go to heaven! No matter how much money is spent on taking medicine to prolong our lives, it will only extend our lives for a few decades. Accumulating treasures in heaven is our nest egg for eternal life; it is the true wealth that cannot be stolen by thieves or robbed by robbers! If we use the money we would spend on life-extending medicine to store treasures in heaven, we won’t have to fear death anymore!
