The Bible teaches us to compare! "Renew ourselves" is a kind of comparison. If you don't compare, how do you know that you have an renew? If there is no comparison in Revelation, how do you know that these churches have problems? Why do pastors and psychologists tell us not to compare?
Because the pastors are afraid of comparison! So the congregations know whether their truth takes root? In this way, the congregations should not follow pastors who do not have the Holy Spirit and the truth does not take root, because Christians want to follow Christ, not the Antichrist! And psychologists don't like to compare patients, because comparison knows whether the psychologist is good or bad? Governments all over the world don’t like people to compare, because once they compare, they have their responsibilities. Without comparison, they never know how bad their government is... The problem is not “comparison”, but what do you “care about”?
Church of Ephesus: (Revelation 2:3) And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. (4) Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.~ Ephesus, it was a pretty good church, and it's a church that Paul established, and it's also a church that Paul is pleased with. Why does the book of Revelation leave 7 churches judged by God? And why these churches no longer exist, and even if they exist, they are completely degenerate?
The Bible Revelation is very important! And the book of Revelation gives us very important information! First of all, when Old John finished writing the book of Revelation, these churches were pretty good, and the churches should not have been corrupted in John's time. And the book of Revelation directly predicted these churches, we can know that the truth of the Bible and the words of God will be fulfilled. And if we were born in the age of Old John, how do we know the corruption of the churches today? The church in Ephesus has several good characteristics: They used to be toil, patient, and intolerant of evil people! The church in Ephesus made Paul liked it because they worked hard, they didn't give up the gospel because they are tired. They also resist "false Christians" and resist the "false gospel", so we must understand false Christians, false prophets, false Teachers, fakes, ..., have existed since the creation of the world, and the fakes are Satan the Devil, and lies are the tools used by the snake to make Eve sin. So lies and falsehoods are everywhere, we must eliminate lies ourselves, we must resist lies, do not believe in lies, this is a lesson that Christians must learn in this life!
Why is the church at Ephesus blamed? Because they abandoned the original love! Why do people abandon their original love? The Bible says: When lawlessness increases, we will abandon our original love! Our love is defeated by evil, right? That's right! When the world is worse, the less we can love! So the worse world doesn't need to love? We must always remember ~ Love comes from God! We cannot love, not because there is too much evil, we confuse the relationship between primary and secondary! We cannot love because our relationship with God is not good enough! If love comes from God, it's not that you decide whether you have love, but can God give you love? So how evil this world is, what does it matter to you? But no big different from God, God can give us love and we can spread love whatever how terrible the world is!
If you use your own way to judge, use your own way to love, your love comes from yourself, of course you are complaining like me all day that this world is not cute at all, a bunch of evil people are walking around in the street, we ask again: How to love? Remind everyone again: Love comes from God, not from us! And the "love" God gives us is flawless, purposeless, without judgment, without criticism, regardless of judgment, worthy and unworthy to love, it is not our decision, but God's decision! If our relationship with God is good enough, He will help us to love those unlovable sinners! And we know the mistakes and advantages of the Ephesus church. We need to learn to be like the Ephesus church: toil, endure, be patience, intolerate the wicked, reject false Christians, false prophets, false teachers, and false pastors! And we must avoid the mistake of the church in Ephesus: we must establish a good relationship with God, and withdraw more love from God, so that we don’t forsake of love because of the increase in lawlessness!
