Swear

(James 5:12) Above all, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath; but let your yea be yea, and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.~~ James is one of my favorite books in the Bible! This passage is quite interesting. James says: Don't swear casually! Modern people swear as easily as eating; they swear at the drop of a hat! Why does someone swear so casually? Because their words lack credibility! If a person is faithful, they won't need to swear casually. Only when someone is unfaithful do they need to swear to increase the credibility of their words!

James is one of my favorite books in the Bible! Christians have a misconception: They believe that swearing an oath to God is equivalent to believing in God! We must understand one thing: Christians often deceive the Holy Spirit. Never, ever believe someone who casually swears an oath to God! First, a person well-versed in the Bible would never swear casually! 2. If someone's words need God's endorsement, it shows how unreliable their words are! 3. God does not approve of us swearing an oath to Him! We cannot use God as a shield for our lies. Those who casually swear by God are trying to gain people's trust in their lies. Brothers and sisters, we must fear God! God will never compromise with evil! The Holy Spirit will never enter the home of an evil person! A person who benefits from evil deeds will never receive "grace" from the Holy Spirit!

Recently, I've often discussed a question with my brothers: Why has the Christian faith deteriorated so rapidly? We've come to the conclusion that Christians fundamentally do not fear God! Fearing God is a basic requirement for being a Christian, but modern Christianity has become about using "baptism" as the basis for Christian revival! Christianity has been controlled by the number of people baptized! The church doesn't care whether its congregation reveres or not; it only cares about the number of baptists and the number of nominal Christians. Does an increase in the number of Christians mean a Christian revival? Is this really true? Christianity is not a religion that cares about numbers! Does our God care how many people are called Christians? If God cared about numbers, He wouldn't be an omniscient and omnipotent God! If God only cared about the number of baptists, He wouldn't be a true God! God created everything! Didn't God create humans too? God doesn't need liars who swear oaths in His name! God certainly doesn't need false Christians who have no reverence for Him! God wants us to worship Him in "truth in our hearts"! God wants everyone to confess their sins and repent, not everyone to be baptized into Christians! If a bunch of people are "baptized" today, but their lives are still "filthy and unclean," and they still live a life of sin, does God need such Christians? James says it well: "Yes is yes! No is no!" Don't make God an endorser of your lies! God will never endorse lies, and you should never deceive the Holy Spirit, for deceiving the Holy Spirit will result in the most severe judgment!
