What is the salvation?

May 6, 2026

Do Chinese people need Jesus? A Chinese co-pilot, resentful over his own demotion, deliberately crashed his plane—resulting in the deaths of all 131 people on board! Chinese people invariably think only of their own profits, forgetting the Great Commission Jesus Christ gave us: To love God and to love others! How can a person who does not revere God truly love others? How can such a person produce the "fruits of repentance"? If Christians are unwilling to confess and repent of their sins—to confront and deal with their own iniquities—then their names will certainly not be found in the Book of Life in Heaven! Reverence for God must be accompanied by actions that demonstrate that reverence!

Many people do not understand the true meaning of "salvation." People have been debating this for 2,000 years, yet they still have not fully grasped the concept of "salvation"! Why was Jesus Christ crucified? Is the salvation offered by Jesus Christ truly important? When Jesus Christ was crucified, He died for all of humanity across the entire world. Therefore, on the day Jesus was crucified, He had already "atoned" for the sins of everyone who would come after Him! Jesus Himself was "sinless," yet He bore the "sins" of all mankind; this marks the "beginning of salvation"! "Salvation" is a form of "universal grace"! If you are willing to accept Jesus as the Savior of your life, you become eligible to receive the "salvation" Jesus offers us! Does receiving Jesus' salvation automatically qualify us to enter Heaven? Certainly not! Jesus' salvation is profoundly important, for the salvation of Jesus Christ serves as the key—the prerequisite—for entering Heaven! If you do not accept Jesus as your Redeemer, not a single one of the sins you have committed can be forgiven! If our sins remain unforgiven, we must pay the penalty for them—and the penalty for a sin is death! Why have we known about the existence of "Hell" since childhood? Because we know that we are all "sinful," and that we are inevitably destined for Hell! However, when Jesus becomes our Redeemer—because we have accepted Him as such—all our past transgressions are forgiven; yet, even then, we are still not automatically qualified to enter Heaven! Many evangelical Christians preach a gospel based on the premise: "Once saved, always saved!" The problem is: Who is capable of being "saved" in a single, one-time act? What does it truly mean to be "saved"? To be "saved" means that you never commit a small sin—ever! These pastors often interpret the Bible haphazardly and loosely; consequently, the world grows increasingly corrupt, and the human heart becomes ever more wicked! They constantly encourage people to be baptized, believing that baptism itself constitutes "salvation." However, "baptism" has nothing to do with salvation! John the Baptist preached a gospel of repentance and confession of sin; he baptized many people—but did those who were baptized thereby gain entry into eternal life? God has never promised that "baptism" grants entry into eternal life! Only those whose names are recorded in the "Book of Life" are entitled to the promise of eternal life!

Jesus said: We must all be baptized! Jesus baptizes us with "the Holy Spirit and water"! Baptist churches place great emphasis on the "form of baptism." Yet, the "form of baptism" is of no importance whatsoever; what matters is this: Have we truly undergone the baptism of "water and the Holy Spirit"? "Baptism" is not performed merely to obtain a "baptism certificate"! "Baptism" signifies a willingness to accept Jesus as the Redeemer of our lives! What, then, does "baptism" signify? "Baptism" means being willing to sever ties with past "sins" and becoming a "new creation"! The purpose of "baptism" is to signify our willingness to embark upon a life of "holiness and freedom from sin"! Can one discern with the naked eye whether a person is a genuine Christian? Yes, one can! If a person’s speech is filled with bitterness, envy, and strife—if their words offer no edification to others and show no respect for their fellow human beings—then, assuredly, that person is not a true Christian! "Water baptism" is merely a ritualistic form, whereas the "baptism of the Holy Spirit" is the true key to our spiritual rebirth! Without undergoing the "baptism of the Holy Spirit," a person can never be truly reborn! I can guarantee that anyone who has not experienced the "baptism of the Holy Spirit" will absolutely not enter Heaven. What, then, is the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"? For those who have received the "Holy Spirit," their lives are fundamentally transformed! Their words and actions are guided entirely by the Holy Spirit. Our Jesus is the "Prince of Peace"; therefore, if a Christian’s speech is rife with bitterness, hurtful words, arrogance, and hostility, that person has clearly not received the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"!

For a person to be saved—once and for all, eternally—they must undergo the "baptism of the Holy Spirit"! It is solely through the "indwelling of the Holy Spirit" that we can attain true salvation! "Salvation" is a spiritual "process," not a mere religious "formality"! Many pastors teach erroneously, reducing the profound reality of "salvation" to nothing more than a ritualistic "formality"! If, throughout our entire lives, we fail to rely on the indwelling Holy Spirit—relying instead solely on the "water baptism"—we can never truly be saved! True salvation depends on utilizing the Word of Jesus to overcome our *own* sins! We must clearly understand this: Whether or not an individual is saved has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else! No matter how many people you assist in baptism, and no matter how much of the Gospel you proclaim, Jesus reveals to us but one immutable fact: Only those whose names are inscribed in the "Book of Life" shall enter Heaven! If we fail to conquer our own sins, we shall never be able to enter Heaven! We must recognize that, in the acts of baptism and evangelism, we serve merely as vessels utilized by God; our true assurance of entering eternal life lies, rather, in our ability to overcome our own sins! Heaven has no need for the vessels of baptism, nor does it require those who merely preach the Gospel; our genuine salvation hinges entirely upon this question: Can we conquer our own sins? Are we willing to allow our powerful "old selves" to be broken and humbled ourself? God’s promises are immutable! God’s laws remain unchanged for the sake of no one! If "sinners"—while remaining in their sin—could enter Heaven, then wherein lies the distinction between Heaven and Hell? By our own strength alone, we are certainly incapable of conquering sin; we must rely upon the indwelling Holy Spirit—we must walk in constant fellowship with the Spirit—only then can we truly triumph over our sins!
