New Clients

A friend just mentioned to me that a certain accounting firm isn't accepting new clients right now! She asked, "Is there really such a company? Don't businesses usually take on any client they can get?" I replied, "Actually, I don't really like taking on new clients my busbusiness ... Most of the clients I work with now are people I already know well." The sad reality is that for many businesses, the mindset is simply to--take one advantage by deceiving someone just for once business! My personal principle is to treat everyone with absolute sincerity and honesty. Whether they are friends or clients, everyone who knows me understands this aspect of my character. I refuse to befriend people who are full of lies, and I certainly would never compromise my personal integrity for the sake of "money." If I were the kind of person who lied casually or made empty promises, I truly believe that God would never choose to use me for His purposes.

I must emphasize this once again: Our God is a God who searches the human heart! Let me share an interesting testimony: A few days ago, a brother in our fellowship fell down a flight of stairs and injured his arm so severely that he couldn't move it. On Saturday, I prayed for this brother. I asked him, "If God were to heal your arm by tomorrow, would you believe in the power of God's healing?" He replied, "Of course I would!" As it turned out, I *did* indeed pray for this brother, and his arm *was* indeed healed on Sunday—but God did not use *me* to heal him; instead, God used *another* brother to bring about his healing! Praise be to God! Our God is truly a God of wonders!

Now, there had been some friction between this injured brother and the brother who healed him. Furthermore, the brother who performed the healing held some rather misguided beliefs. Because of the conflict between them, those of us in the fellowship—the brothers and sisters caught in the middle—found it quite difficult to navigate the situation. But praise God! Our God truly is a God who answers prayer! When I prayed about this matter, I specifically asked God to act according to *His own* will. I prayed, "Lord, if the brother who acted wrongly is willing to repent, then we would love to find a way to help them reconcile." And so, God used Brother B to heal Brother A; this miraculous event truly helped to ease the tension between them, and I was able to seize this opportunity to share some spiritual truths with Brother B! Our God is indeed a God of blessing! Our God is indeed a God overflowing with grace! This particular brother used to be a worshiper of Buddha. He held a deeply flawed concept of "grace"—He believed that grace was something one had to *exchange* for material benefits. I explained to him, "Our God is the Creator of the universe! Our God has absolutely no need for anything that we possess! All our God requires of us is our complete and total trust in Him. The grace God bestows upon each of us involves absolutely *no* 'exchange of benefits'; rather, our grace is a gift that God gives to us freely and unconditionally!" The grace and blessings God bestows upon us cannot be purchased with money; our God never accepts "bribes"! To whom does God choose to grant His blessings? This lies entirely within God's sovereign authority! False biblical teaching can destroy a person! Such erroneous instruction not only deprives an individual of blessings in this life but, even more tragically, strips them of the hope of eternal life! We know that only "biblical truth" constitutes the path to eternal life! John 14:6 Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."— Therefore, carefully choose a pastor who is firmly grounded in the truth, and diligently study the truths of the Bible; for biblical truth will bring us lifelong benefit!
